Orchids

Did you know that there are more than 22,000 known species of orchids?  New ones are being discovered every year.  There’s an orchid that hammers its insect pollinator.

You’ll learn about what distinguishes an orchid, the different species of orchids and where they grow.  Then there are terms such as Terrestrial and Epiphyte.

You may have enjoyed the flavour of a particular orchid in an ice-cream or milkshake!  You’ll find out which one.
