Palms

This honour originally focused on the palms of tropical paradises such as Fiji and the islands of the South Pacific. We became fascinated by the features of the palm family and the impacts they have on cultures around the globe. So we’ve opened up the honour for everyone.

There are Coconut Palms, Sago Palms, Oil Palms and Date Palms to name a few. You’ll learn about the trunks of palm trees, their roots, leaves, flowers and fruits – how to plant a palm!

You’ll learn about palms and their significance to cultures; either your own or other cultures.

Finally, you’ll search the scriptures to learn about palms and people in Bible times.
